If you want a little Friday humor, see below for the history of Cinco de Mayo.
Just a quick reminder, the teleclass discount ends this evening.
What is a teleclass? This is a class
where you participate by phone. You don't need a computer. You can be
at the airport, in your car, at your office, on the beach - anywhere.
Each class lasts an hour.
Simply sign up and you'll receive a call
in number the day before the class. Dial into the number and I'll share
with you my networking techniques.
I look forward to talking with you soon!
Have a great weekend! ~ Diane |

For many getting into a conversation is intimidating. These are a few questions I am frequently asked.
- How do you break into a group?
- What to say at an event when you don't know anyone?
- If you're having a networking lunch, how do you get over the awkward small talk?
For others - it's getting OUT of a conversation that is challenging.
- How to disengage without hurting someone's feelings
- When to end a conversation
- What to do when someone ends a conversation with you
Please join me for some teleclasses that
will give you specific, tactical ways to join a conversation as well as
leave one at the appropriate time and in a tactful wayl
In addition, I'm hosting a teleclass on ways to follow up after you have those wonderful conversations.
Follow Up - How to Stay Connected without Stalking!
- What are the best ways to follow up - email, phone, snailmail
- How often should you be in touch
- What if I haven't talked to someone in awhile
Investment is $20 each or all three for $50 if purchased by Friday, May 5th.
How to Get Into a Conversation - Tuesday, May 9, 2006 @ 12 noon EST
How to Get OUT of a Conversation - Wednesday, May 10, 2006 @ 12 noon EST
How to Follow Up without Stalking - Friday, May 12, 2006 @ 12 noon EST
Invest in all three!

For
those who think they know everything, most people don't know that back
in 1912, Hellmann's mayonnaise was manufactured in England. In fact,
the Titanic was carrying 12,000 jars of the condiment scheduled for
delivery in Vera Cruz, Mexico, which was to be the next port of call
for the great ship after its stop in New York.
This would have been the largest single shipment of mayonnaise ever delivered to Mexico.
But as we know, the great ship did not make it to New York. The ship hit an iceberg and sank, and the cargo was forever lost.
The people of Mexico, who were crazy
about mayonnaise and were eagerly awaiting its delivery, were
disconsolate at the loss. Their anguish was so great, that they
declared a National Day of Mourning which they still observe to this
day.
The National Day of Mourning occurs each year on May 5th . . . and is known, of course, as Sinko de Mayo. |
