Help yourself to a sneak preview

Monday was the 108th running of the Boston Marathon. When the runners crossed the finish line, the temperature was above 80 and it had been a brutal race for many.

"It was the hardest run of my life," was overheard on many a cellphone conversation.

What does this have to do with networking?

Conditions are not always perfect for whatever project lies ahead of us. However adverse conditions didn't stop thousands of runners who had prepared for months. They realized they might need to change their strategy (go slower, drink lots of water, and take care of themselves).

For some - They actually ran two marathons ... their first and their last!

Networking - Even if the conditions aren't perfect, go out there and give it your best effort. You may need to change your strategy and adapt. Be flexible! You'll be happy you made the effort.
